Meet Akanksha
Hi there! I'm a Toronto based dancer, content creator and founder of Bolly Blast. I was always the youngest spoiled daughter of the house and am now a Masi who pours that love into my adorable nieces. After working in the corporate field for many years, I took the risk of quitting my job and make my passion my full-time career.
I took a flight to Mumbai to train and collaborate with some of the best artists! After my training, I knew I had to bring the Bolly Masala to North America and the rest of the world. Join me on this journey of filmy Bollywood dance!
Why I love what I do
I have students from all different levels join: beginners, intermediate, advanced, and of all age groups. My favourite kinds are the ones who claim they have "2 left feet". All you need is the excitement and passion for filmy music - leave the rest to me. I work hard to create a positive, encouraging environment to make dancing accessible for EVERYONE.
I believe ANYONE can dance and my favourite part is watching people's confidence grow right in front of my eyes. I love what I do and want to spread the joy of dancing and over-dramatic Bolly masala fun for as long as I can!
